Brian

Brian Edwards, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Edwards Technologies, Inc. (ETI), recognized early on that exciting stories combined with captivating visual images and sound not only heighten the guest experience but communicates ideas, sell products, entertains, and inspires. His talent for designing award-winning technology solutions to enhance any story has helped make his company one of the busiest and most respected firms in the leisure entertainment industry today.  “I see myself as an electronic storyteller,” says Brian. “Our team helps companies and organizations tell their story by developing extraordinary immersive experiences that can’t be found anywhere else.”

In 1984, Edwards founded ETI, getting its first big break when Universal Studios Hollywood asked the company to replace its old film systems with video arrangements. This opened the door to diverse opportunities, which led to ground-breaking projects with leading theme parks, museums, retail outlets and corporations.  Clients include LEGOLAND theme parks, Hilton Grand Vacations, Quiksilver, SEGA/BBC “Orbi,” Doha Zoo, International Spy Museum, Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Battle Stations 21, The National Infantry Museum, Times Square, and Disney Stores. As CEO of ETI, Brian takes a hands-on approach to building immersive environments. Whether designing the technology for a theme park or visitor center or installing an audio/visual/show control project, every phase of every project must first meet with Brian’s approval. It is this kind of attention to detail that has resulted in the company’s 100 percent on-time project completion record

In 2008, Brian partnered with Videro a leading digital software company out of Germany to launch the ETI/Videro platform, which is a professionally hosted network that lives on the Cloud and powers the behind the scenes infrastructure, data, and business applications for experiential environments. At the same time, he launched a 24/7 Support Services division to keep an eye on all aspects of his clients’ operations from real-time images on digital displays to projector bulb life.

In 2011, Edwards partnered with Neal Lassila, a former executive of Disney Retail to co-found a sister company called Fresh Juice Global. The new company offers consumer experience design and consulting, utilizing ETI technical know-how to create new, interactive branding experiences.

Edwards currently serves as chairman for the Urban Land Institute’s Entertainment Development Council, and is a past president of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), an international alliance of the world’s leading location-based entertainment companies. Additionally Edwards is often invited to speak at various conferences on the “Future of Technology.”
